As digitalization continues to transform international travel, Belarus is introducing an electronic visa (e-Visa) system to streamline entry for visitors.
Effective March 20, 2025, travelers from 67 countries can apply for a visa online, simplifying the process and reflecting a shift toward greater accessibility. While European Union nationals can travel visa-free until December 31, 2025, they are also eligible for the new e-Visa system.
This initiative allows eligible travelers to submit visa applications via the official e-pasluga.by platform or the “E-Pasluga” mobile app, available on Google Play, Huawei AppGallery, and AndroidRuStore. Countries included in the e-Visa program are Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Barbados, Belgium, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominica, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, North Macedonia, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Micronesia, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, South Korea, Spain, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Vanuatu, and Vatican City.
According to the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the e-Visa is a single-entry permit valid for up to 30 days. It can be issued for business, participation in cultural, scientific, educational, and sporting events, private visits, or tourism.
Applications must be submitted at least seven days before the intended entry date. Travelers need to create a personal account on the E-Pasluga portal and provide passport details, a home address, some professional information, and their planned address in Belarus. Unlike traditional visa processes, no additional documents, such as passport scans or invitation letters, need to be uploaded.
A consular fee applies, payable via Visa or Mastercard, along with an additional €6 processing charge. The standard fees are:
- €35 for nationals of most EU countries, stateless persons residing in Estonia, and non-citizens of Latvia.
- €60 for nationals of other eligible countries.
- €0 for children under 12 from specified EU nations and for children under 14 from other eligible countries.
Processing takes seven calendar days, with no expedited service currently available. Once approved, the e-Visa must be printed or stored digitally for presentation upon entry and throughout the stay.
In addition to the e-Visa, travelers must carry a passport valid for at least 90 days beyond the visa’s expiration and proof of medical insurance with a minimum coverage of €10,000.
The e-Visa grants entry through all international checkpoints, including Minsk, Brest, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev, and Vitebsk airports, as well as road and rail crossings. When calculating the permitted 30-day stay, both arrival and departure days are considered full days.
