The Cambodian government has announced a reduction in e-visa fees for both tourists and businesses, effective from January 2025. According to a news release on December 28, the fee for tourist e-visas (e-visa T) will be cut to $30, down from the current $36, while the fee for regular e-visas (e-visa E) will be lowered to $35 from $42.
This initiative aims to attract more tourists and investors to the Southeast Asian nation.
Cambodia is projected to welcome approximately 6.7 million international visitors and 22 million domestic tourists this year, surpassing the pre-pandemic numbers of 2019. Tourism remains one of Cambodia’s key economic pillars, alongside garment, footwear, and travel goods exports, agriculture, and the construction and real estate sectors.
