
The Henley & Partners Index, which is created by the London-based firm specializing in global citizenship and residency, ranks passports based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
At the top of the list is the United Arab Emirates, with its citizens able to travel visa-free or with visa-on-arrival access to 180 countries. Spain follows in second place, offering easy access to 179 destinations.
The third position is shared by 14 countries, all of which grant visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 178 locations. These nations include Finland, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Portugal, Norway, Switzerland, Greece, and Ireland.
Croatia has reached its highest-ever ranking, securing 5th place alongside Estonia, South Korea, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. Croatian passport holders enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 176 destinations. This marks a significant rise for Croatia, which was ranked 15th last year, 17th in 2022, and 18th in 2021, according to the Henley Passport Index.
