Dominique Pelicot Sentenced to 20 Years for Sexual Crimes Against Ex-Wife, Gisèle
Dominique Pelicot was found guilty of all charges related to the aggravated rape of his ex-wife, Gisèle Pelicot. The 72-year-old man was also convicted of the attempted aggravated rape of Cillia, the wife of one of his co-defendants, Jean Pierre Marechal, as well as of collecting intimate images without consent of his daughter, Caroline, and his daughters-in-law, Aurore and Céline.

A court has sentenced Dominique Pelicot to the maximum penalty of 20 years, as requested by French prosecutors. Libération, Pelicot remained emotionless as Judge Roger Arata delivered the verdict.
The other defendants were called individually to hear their sentences. One of them, identified as Redouane A., was deemed to have diminished responsibility.
