The issue began around 11:30 PM Pakistan time, with users reporting difficulties logging into Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, as well as being unable to upload or edit content. According to Down Detector, a platform that tracks social media outages, Instagram received over 70,000 complaints within minutes, while Facebook saw more than 100,000 reports.
Meta, the parent company of these platforms, acknowledged the disruption on Twitter, attributing it to a technical glitch and extended an apology for the inconvenience caused.
