Pakistani nationals and other international students who have recently graduated in New Zealand are eligible to apply for the Post-Study Work Visa. This visa allows graduates to live and work in New Zealand for up to three years, depending on their qualification level and other factors.

Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification Level
- Degree Level 7 or Above: Graduates can work for any employer in New Zealand.
- Non-Degree Level 7 or Below: Eligibility depends on whether the qualification is listed as eligible for a post-study work visa.
- Study Requirements
- Applicants must have completed full-time study in New Zealand for at least 30 weeks.
- Job Relevance
- For non-degree Level 7 or below qualifications, the job sought must align with the field of study.
Required Documents
- Identity Documents: Valid passport and any other required identification.
- Health Certificate: Proof of meeting New Zealand’s health requirements.
- Proof of Funds:
- Applicants need to demonstrate they have at least NZD $5,000 to support themselves. Acceptable evidence includes:
- Bank statements
- Credit card statements
- Bank drafts
Visa Duration
- The visa is granted for 1, 2, or 3 years, based on the qualification level and its relevance to New Zealand’s work requirements.
Fees for Post-Study Work Visa
As of October 2024, the visa cost is NZD $1,670, which includes:
- Application Fee: NZD $320
- Immigration Levy: NZD $1,350
