Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a modest decline of Rs800 on Monday, following trends in the global market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs800, settling at Rs277,000. Likewise, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs687, reaching Rs237,482.
Globally, gold prices also witnessed a decrease, with a drop of $8 on Monday, bringing the rate to $2,658 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the domestic market remained unchanged at Rs3,400 per tola.
On Friday, the local market saw a significant decline in gold prices, with 24-karat gold per tola dropping by Rs5,000 to settle at Rs277,800. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs4,286, bringing it to Rs238,169. For 22-karat gold, the price for 10 grams was recorded at Rs218,321. On the international front, gold prices fell by $50 per ounce, closing at $2,666.
