Starting June 30, 2025, the United Arab Emirates will introduce a new update to its Visit Visa program, allowing not only job seekers but also professionals coming for short-term work-related assignments to enter the country without needing employer sponsorship. This change opens the door to a wider range of skilled individuals who want to explore job opportunities or carry out freelance or project-based work in the UAE.
The visa will be available in three durations—60, 90, and 120 days—and does not require a local sponsor or employer for application. It’s designed for professionals including recent graduates, engineers, consultants, freelancers, and specialists looking to work temporarily or find long-term roles.
Eligible applicants include those classified under the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) skill levels 1 to 3, university graduates with a bachelor’s degree or higher, and recent graduates from the top 500 global universities. Applicants will also need to show proof of financial means to support themselves during their stay.
Visa fees start at AED 200 for 60 days, AED 300 for 90 days, and AED 400 for 120 days, with a standard AED 1,000 security deposit. Additional service and government fees apply, typically ranging between AED 80 and AED 120. Those applying from within the UAE will need to pay an extra AED 500.
With major projects underway in fields like artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and infrastructure, this visa update is expected to draw global talent to the UAE’s evolving and opportunity-rich market.
