The Irish government has introduced a revised document checklist for those applying for an Employment Visa in 2025. To avoid potential delays or rejections, applicants must ensure they meet the updated requirements before submission.
A fully completed, signed, and dated application form is required, along with an employment permit issued by the Department of Enterprise, Trade, and Employment. A valid passport, including previous passports that document past travel history, must be submitted. A letter from the Irish employer is necessary, detailing the job role, salary, and accommodation arrangements if provided. If the applicant has faced visa refusals in the past, full details must be disclosed.
Recent passport-sized photographs must comply with Ireland’s official specifications. Proof of visa fee payment is required, along with a residency card if applicable. Evidence of qualifications and work experience should include recent pay slips, salary deposits in a personal bank account, an employment letter from the current employer, personal tax statements, and any relevant professional or training certificates.
An application letter, signed and dated, must outline the applicant’s intent to move to Ireland. This should include personal details such as full name, postal address, and contact information, a commitment to abide by visa conditions, a declaration of financial independence from public services, and confirmation of departure before the visa expires.
A signed employment contract is required, specifying job details, salary information, and accommodation arrangements where applicable. Financial proof must be provided in the form of an original six-month bank statement, printed on official bank letterhead, containing the applicant’s name and address, clear transaction records, and explanations for any significant financial movements.
These new guidelines highlight the importance of financial stability, a solid employment history, and adherence to visa conditions. To ensure a smooth process, applicants should carefully prepare their documents, verify all details, and submit a complete application to increase their chances of approval.
