Official data reflects the rising demand for living in Portugal. Foreign buyers represented approximately 12% of real estate transactions in 2024, with an annual price growth rate of 8% between 2019 and 2024. The country has become a preferred destination for international residents, with over 47,000 British citizens now calling Portugal home. The foreign population increased by 37% between 2011 and 2021, underscoring Portugal’s appeal as a welcoming and stable destination.
