the Lisbon Metropolitan Area transport provider announced that passengers in Area 1 (covering Amadora, Cascais, Lisbon, Oeiras, and Sintra) should check the specific lines they use through the ‘Lines Search’ tool on the website or app to stay informed about any changes.
For Area 2, which includes Loures, Mafra, Odivelas, and Vila Franca de Xira, services will end at 10 p.m. on December 31 and resume at 7 a.m. on January 1.
In Area 3, which covers Almada, Seixal, and Sesimbra, there will be reduced services on December 24 and 31 between 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., with a full service suspension starting at 9:30 p.m. The company advises passengers to check the website for any “operational exceptions.”
On December 25th (Christmas) and January 1st (New Year), services will be suspended until 7:00 a.m., with gradual resumption until 7:30 a.m., although some exceptions may apply.
In Area 4, which includes Alcochete, Moita, Montijo, Palmela, Setúbal, and Barreiro, services will be interrupted at 9:00 p.m. on December 24th (Christmas Eve). Trips scheduled before this time will proceed as usual, and ongoing journeys will continue to their destinations.
Service in Area 4 will resume at 7:30 a.m. on December 25th. On December 31st (New Year’s Eve), service will stop at 10:00 p.m., except for lines 4512, 4600, 4602, 4604, 4701, 4702, 4705, 4707, 4710, 4715, 4725, and 4730, which will run until the end of the day, ensuring connections to Barreiro Terminal and Lisbon.
On January 1st, service will start again at 7:30 a.m. in Area 4.
The Navegante Trilhos Metropolitana service points will be open until 2:00 p.m. on December 24th and until 6:00 p.m. on December 31st. They will be closed on December 25th and January 1st.
