Belarus is set to introduce an electronic visa system on March 20, 2025, making travel more accessible for visitors from 67 countries. Citizens of the United States, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and others will be able to apply for a single-entry e-visa without the need to visit an embassy or consulate.
This initiative follows a government decree issued on December 16, 2024, revising visa regulations to simplify travel for business visitors, tourists, students, and those attending cultural, sporting, and educational events. The e-visa will be available to ordinary passport holders, valid for up to 30 days, and issued entirely online without requiring additional support documents.
Applications will be processed within seven days and accepted at all international entry points, including Minsk National Airport, regional airports, and major road and rail checkpoints. Travelers can apply by creating an account on the official E-Pasluga portal or mobile app, completing an online form, selecting the relevant service code, paying the visa fee, and waiting for approval. Once issued, the digital visa must be presented in print or electronic form upon entry.
Fees vary based on nationality, with citizens of EU countries paying €35, while applicants from other eligible nations are charged €60. Japanese citizens and children under 12 (for EU applicants) or 14 (for others) can obtain the e-visa free of charge, with an additional service fee of €6 applicable.
Eligible travelers include those from European nations such as Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, alongside visitors from Canada, the United States, Chile, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and several others across Asia and the Americas.
