Scholarships are available for different levels of study. Bachelor’s degree programmes are intended for those who have completed high school or pre-university education, lasting between three and six years, depending on the field of study, and concluding with a bachelor’s exam. Master’s degree programmes are open to undergraduates and last one to two years, ending with a dissertation exam. PhD programmes, available to graduates of higher education, span three to five years and require a written agreement from a doctoral tutor and successful completion of an admission interview.
Undergraduate and master’s degree recipients must study in Romanian, with a preparatory year required for those who do not have prior proficiency in the language. Doctoral candidates can choose to study in Romanian or a foreign language, depending on the doctoral school’s regulations. Exemptions from the Romanian preparatory year are granted to candidates who hold Romanian study documents, have completed at least four years of study in Romanian, pass a Romanian language test as per regulations, or provide a Romanian language competency certificate at a minimum B1 level.
Applicants should refer to the official documents available on the application portal for further details and guidelines.
